Aero S automated dry powder dispersion system, designed to achieve the reproducible dispersion of both fragile and robust powder samples over a wide size range. Ideal for applications where large sample quantities need to be measured, or where the speed of dispersion and fast sample turn-around associated with dry powder measurements are important.
Includes a vibrating sample feed system, for precise sample delivery, along with the interchangeable venturi disperser geometries, which can be selected and configured according to the specific requirements of any application. Direct software control of dispersive air pressure (0-4bar, 0.1bar precision), sample feed rate (0-6g), vacuum sample collection and clean sequences is provided. Automatic detection of the venturi disperser and sample feed tray types ensures the correct configuration is used for each measurement. Supplied, as standard, with a hopper-based sample feed tray (MAZ2060) and a vacuum control unit (MAZ2080).
Flow path is constructed of 316 and hardened 410 stainless steel, borosilicate glass, EPDM,
PTFE, Polyurethane, Aluminium, Carbon filled acetal, Neoprene.
Maximum measureable particle size is 3500 microns (sample dependant).
Requires, but does not include, a venturi disperser (MAZ2070 - MAZ2073), a dry measurement cell (MAZ2050), a clean dry compressed air supply of 90psi (6 bar) at a flow rate of at least 90l/min, as provided by the COM0035/36 compressors, as well as an industrial vacuum system, such as VAC0067/68, for sample collection.
(1) Any alternative to the VAC0067/68 must not be rated at more than 2.7kW @220v or 1.3kW @110v.
(2) In the event that any alternative to the COM0035/36 compressor is installed, it will be essential to install filter FIL0027 or equivalent in the airline. Failure to observe this requirement will invalidate the warranty for this dispersion unit.
(3) The Aero S cannot be used with the venturi dispersers designed for the Aero M (MAZ3500) unit.
