Wet Dispersion

Standard auto-locking wet measurement cell cassette for the Mastersizer 3000 and Mastersizer 3000E laser diffraction systems. The cell type is automatically recognised by the software when the cell is placed into the optical bench. A unique window locking mechanism enables rapid cleaning of the cell following measurements, without the need for additional tools.This cell will work within any Mastersizer 3000 or Mastersizer 3000E wet dispersion unit. Manually-operated liquid dispenser kit, designed to allow organic dispersants to be pumped into the Hydro SM or Hydro MV dispersion units. The dispenser will deliver between 10-100ml of liquid through the external (unregulated) dispersant inlet on the Hydro MV. Connectors are also provided to allow the dispenser to be fitted in-line with the Hydro SM. Provided with 15m of tubing (MAZ2023) which can be used with alcohols and some aldehydes and ketones. Manually-operated liquid dispenser kit, designed to allow organic dispersants to be pumped into the Hydro SM or Hydro MV dispersion units. The dispenser will deliver between 10-100ml of liquid through the external (unregulated) dispersant inlet on the Hydro MV. Connectors are also provided to allow the dispenser to be fitted in-line with the Hydro SM. Provided with 15m of tubing which provides compatibility for materials such as petroleum products, alkanes, sunflower oil and mineral oil. (MAZ2022). Chemical compatibility code A3.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT FOR MS3000. Helps reduce the time required to achieve thermal equilibrium in thermally volatile dispersants and saturated solutions, enabling production of smooth and stable scattering backgrounds for improved measurement control.

Hydro SV small volume wet sample dispersion unit, provided with a 6ml measurement curvette. Designed for applications where very small samples need to be measured, or where there is a requirement to minimise dispersant use. Samples are suspended during measurements using a software-controlled magnetic stirrer (500-1800rpm speed range). The stirrer speed can also be manually controlled from the unit to aid with sample preparation prior to measurements being carried out. Measurements are made in a sample cuvette, which can be easily removed from the unit for cleaning. A wash station is provided, allowing the cuvette to be quickly cleaned at the end of a measurement. Chemical compatibility code A2 as standard. Maximum measureable particle size is 200 microns (sample dependant).

Hydro SM manual wet sample dispersion unit, provided with a 120ml sample tank. Designed for applications where sample quantities are small, or where dispersant use needs to be minimised. The high chemical compatibility of the unit ensures a wide range of dispersants can be used, providing a broad scope of application. Control of sample pumping/stirring is manually achieved via an external control module which allows users to set a speed of between 350 and 3500rpm. Read-back of the speed is provided, to aid with method validation. A manually-operated drain is provided for sample recovery. Flow path is constructed of 316 stainless steel, borosilicate glass, PTFE, PEEK, FEP, Tygon tubing. Requires, but does not include, a wet measurement cell such as MAZ2010 or MAZ2020. Chemical compatibility code A as standard. Maximum measureable particle size is 600 microns (sample dependant).

Hydro MV medium volume automated wet sample dispersion unit, with a 120ml sample tank. Designed for applications where sample quantities are small, or where dispersant use needs to be minimised. The high chemical compatibility of the unit ensures a wide range of dispersants can be used, providing a broad scope of application. Direct software control of variable power in-line sonication (Nominal: 35W at 40kHz), sample pumping/stirring (max flow rate 2.3l/min), system cleaning and dispersant filling provided. Full automation of sample dispersion and cleaning is possible using software-based SOPs. Flow path is constructed of 316 stainless steel, borosilicate glass, PTFE, PEEK, FEP, Tygon tubing. Requires, but does not include, a wet measurement cell such as MAZ2010 or MAZ2020. Chemical compatibility code A as standard. Maximum measureable particle size is 1400 microns when used with the Mastersizer 3000 (sample dependant). Note: Software upgrade CPS0128 must be ordered for this dispersion unit to be used with the Mastersizer 3000E.
